Open Studio | 3 Cups Ceramics

Looking for extra time on the wheel or a chance to catch up on trimming and glazing? Open Studio is designed to give students flexible access to the studio outside of structured class time. This session allows you to continue working on skills learned in class, make up missed sessions, finish pieces, or simply spend time experimenting and playing with clay in a relaxed environment.

Open Studio is not an instructional class. A studio host will be present to oversee the space, answer basic questions, and assist with studio flow, but no formal demonstrations or lessons will be provided.

Open Studio is available to current and former 3 Cups Ceramics students only.

Includes:

  • Access to pottery wheels, studio tools, and shared equipment

  • Use of studio glazes

  • Open time for throwing, trimming, glazing, and finishing work

Location: Backyard studio in the heart of Austin TX, with an abundance of plants

Good to know:
Dress for mess! Bring a water bottle. Aprons are provided.

Other Important Information:

  • Only students enrolled in classes may sign up for Open Studio time

  • Open Studio does not include formal instruction

  • Ask before using any equipment you are not familiar with

  • Report any problems or concerns immediately to the studio host

  • On-street parking is available

  • A bathroom is available for use

  • No smoking in or outside of the studio

  • Due to space and liability requirements, all guests must sign a Liability Waiver upon entering the property for the first time

Cancellation Policy:

  • Open Studio sessions are non-refundable and non-transferable
